Favorite Kitchen Items for GFCF Life
Brainstorming List
Aquasana Water Purifier
Breadmaker – Breadman Pro
BPA-Free water bottles (Camelback) – If you’re going to use filtered water, don’t ruin it with plastic bottles!
Cheese grater – I don’t know what this is called. (It’s older than me!) It’s a flat piece of metal with a handle at each end and different-sized holes for grating. It fits right over my Rubbermaid dish and I grind a whole block of “cheese” at once and freeze it in snack bags for easy use later.
Coffee grinder – I grind regular sugar in this to make corn-free powdered sugar
Crock pot
Egg separator (sent in by an egg allergy family)
Food processor/mixer
Garlic press (Pampered Chef)
Hand Immersion Blender (Hamilton Beach) – If you’re making smoothies a lot…much easier than cleaning the blender.
Ice Cream Maker – Cheaper than buying GFCF ice cream.
Iron skillet
KitchenAid stand mixer
Large Scoop (Pampered Chef) – I almost don’t hate make cupcakes anymore.
Mini food chopper from Magic Chef (a little food processor small enough to stay out all the time – use it for making flour, pesto, sauces)
Popsicle Molds (Tupperware) – We often freeze smoothies or even chocolate pudding (made from Mori-Nu Mates) for “dessert” treats.
Tabletop portable gas grill – OK, so maybe it’s not in the “kitchen”, but…we eat off of this almost exclusively when camping and have even taken it to fireworks and such for easy GFCF food.
Toaster Oven – we can clean the rack in between gluten and non-gluten uses. Also, I often bake bread in it so I don’t have to heat up the big oven so often.
